Q. How long has Ounique been in business?
A. Ounique was started in 1995 in Beverly Hills and was one of the first content providers on the Internet.

Q. Why doesn't your shopping cart work with older versions of Netscape?
A. You may need to upgrade your Netscape browser to version 6 to be compatible with our shopping cart. Even the newer versions still have some issues. We recommend using Internet Explorer 5.0+ instead of Netscape.

Q. Do you have a banner exchange program?
A. Yes. Ounique.com will be happy to exchange banner with your site. Go to our link exchange section for more details. Click Here For Details

Q. Do you have any affiliate referral programs?
A. We are currently working on such a program to support this feature. Please check back soon.

Q. All of the images on the site are being displayed as broken links or as a red X, what should I do?
A. Our software will only allow images to be served when a valid referring URL is passed. The only valid referrers are ounique.com and the IP address. Sometimes, firewalls can create this problem and software that prevents pop-up windows from being displayed. Try disabling these types of software. If you are still experiencing problems after you have disabled it, email sales@ounique.com for help.

Q: After I log in the site keeps taking me back to the login page?
Answer: You have probably entered the the site by typing in http://ounique.com/ The proper address of the site is http://www.ounique.com/ (www. before ounique.com) Please exit out of the site and enter the site by typing in http://www.ounique.com/ in the address bar of your browser.
You may also need to clear your temporary internet files.

Q. When I open the included required document, I only see one page / one model release?
A. If it is a .tif file you will need to use a program that can display multi-page .tif files. We recommend ACDSee, a free trial copy can be downloaded here: www.acdsee.com, also with ACDSee you will receive FotoCanvas which can edit and export these files. Please note that Photoshop and most other graphic programs will not open more than the 1st page of these files.

Q. Some of the model releases seem to be missing from the set I ordered.
How can I get the missing docs?

Q. Do you have model releases and IDs on file and can you provide those to me?
A. Yes, we have all model releases and IDs. Copies of these documents are available and are included with your order. Under the law, ALL content providers are required to have the model releases and IDs on file; however we have found that most do not.

Q. Do I need to have copies of the model releases and IDs?
A. Our interpretation of the law is that you should have copies of these documents on file.

Q. Who should I list as Primary Producer and the Custodian of Records?
A. The new 2257 law scheduled to go into effect June 23, 2005 has many ambiguities. Ounique, Inc. does not provide legal advice and we suggest that you consult an attorney regarding all legal questions.

Q. Are there any other license fees?
A. No. The price listed on our site includes all Internet licensing fees. (If you are looking to license an image for print, that fee is $100 per image. Not all images are available for print. Check the description of the set for an "AVAILABLE FOR PRINT" message. (See next question.)

Q. Do you offer a license for print advertising?
A. Some sets are available for print advertising. If they are available it will be listed in the notes section next to the photoset, look for an "AVAILABLE FOR PRINT" message. You can also type, "print" into our search engine and it will bring up these sets. A print license is $100 per image.

Q. Will I receive a copy of the license when I download my order or will one be mailed to me?
A. This depends on the supplier of the content. Most of our suppliers use our standard license agreement and you must agree to this license during checkout; thus, you will not receive a printed copy and one is not included in sets when downloaded. The order history page shows all of your orders as proof of the content you have licensed in your account. If you would like a copy: Printable Contract. Some of our suppliers may use their own License Agreement and, if so, this license would be included with the content and is shown on the License Agreement Page.

Q. Can I buy your content and resell it to other webmasters through my website?
A. No. We don't have any such programs available at this time.

Q. Are the images transferable if I sell my site?
A. This depends on the supplier of the content and their license agreement. Most suppliers use our Standard Ounique License and under this license you can transfer the content for free. Please contact our Sales Department for a Transfer Agreement at sales@ounique.com or call 818.937.4969 Some of our suppliers may use their own License Agreement and, if so, this license would be included with the content and is shown on the License Agreement Page.

Q. Do you need to know all of the URLs on which I plan to use the images?
A. This depends on the supplier of the content and their license agreement. Most suppliers use our Standard License and under this license you can use the images on any site that you personally own and derives profit from. Some of our suppliers may use their own License Agreement and, if so, this license would be included with the content and is shown on the License Agreement Page.

Q. Can I put the images on a site that I don't own?
A. This depends on the supplier of the content and their license agreement. Most suppliers use our Standard License and under this license you are allowed to do this as long as you are the only one that derives benefit from use of the images. Some of our suppliers may use their own License Agreement and, if so, this license would be included with the content and is shown on the License Agreement Page.

Q. Can I license images from you and give them to my webmasters?

Q. Is the license a single or multi-site license?
A. This depends on the supplier of the content and their license agreement. Most suppliers use our Standard License and this license is for multiple sites. Q. Can I license individual images?
A. Individual images are only available for print at $100 per image (only images marked for print, can be purchased for print). We do not offer individual images for web use. It is typically cheaper just to purchase the entire set.

Q. If I don't like the images can I return them?
A. Yes. You can return the images within 10 days under our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Q. If I license duplicate sets can I return them?
A. Yes. If you ever license duplicate sets, CDs or images from us you can always get credit or exchange them.

Q. What resolution are your images shot?
A. Most of our images are either scanned or digitally shot at 300 DPI.

Q. Do I need 300 DPI or 72 DPI files?
A. For most purposes you only need 72 DPI files. Computer screens only display images at 72 or 96 DPI.

Q. How many images does Ounique.com offer?
Ounique is the largest provider of premium content and has been in business since 1995. On average, we add over 8,000 gay and 35,000 straight images and over 100 gay and 550 straight sets each month.

Q. What is a Kodak PCD file?
A. A PCD file is a file format created by Kodak and is the industry standard when producing high quality scans from slides. Each file is around 5 MB and can be extracted into 5 different pixel sizes (128 X 192, 256 X 384, 512 X 768, 1024 X 1536, 2048 X 3072). We scan our slides into this master file format. PCD files are currently not available for purchase. If you see this in the description of a set it just means it was scanned from a slide.

Q. The thumbnails are too small, can I see full sized samples of from each set?
A. Yes. The first two images on each page of thumbnails is a clickable sample image (2 samples for every 15 images).

Q. Can I alter the images by putting my websites URL on them or by deleting the background?
A. This depends on the supplier of the content and their license agreement. Most suppliers use our Standard License and you can do this. Some of our suppliers may use their own License Agreement and, if so, this license would be included with the content and is shown on the License Agreement Page.

Q. Can I get the name of a model in a certain set?
A. If we know the model's stage name, it will be listed in the notes section next to the photoset. Real names are never be used for any reason. If a model doesn't have a designated stage name, you can make-up one to use.

Q. Can I use the model real name or personal information?
A. No. If the model has a stage name you must use their stage name or create your own, but never their real name.

Q. Do you have Video Clips?
A. Yes, you can find them in our Store.

Q. Do you have samples I can view or auto-download of Video Clips?
A. Ounique.com proudly support the webmaster community by choosing not to use or license video technologies; therefore we currently are not able to offer video samples or video downloads from the website. You may still order video clips and have them shipped on CD.

Q. Do you have Stories?
A. Yes, you can find them in our Store.

Q. Do you offer exclusive content?
A. Not at this time.

Q. Do I have to have my own FTP site?
A. No. Our content can be downloaded instantly from our site with a verified account.

Q. Do you ship worldwide?
A. Yes. We usually USPS Global Priority Mail outside the US
