"Why am I getting a "header corrupt" messages when I try to open the downloaded file?"
Read through the WinZip help page here: http://www.winzip.com/xcih.htm
Chances are that the file was corrupted during download or when it was being zipped; you will probably need to re-download the file.
We have found that in this situation, re-downloading the file typically solves the problem. If you continue to get the message after a few download attempts,
please go back to your Order History page and click on the Download button again so that our system will generate a new zip file.
After the system generates this file it will email you a new link that you can download and extract.
Client Trouble Shooting Suggestions:
We have had clients report that they were able to unzip files by removing the .gz file extention;
However, we have not been able to duplicate their success and would only suggest doing this as a last measure.
StuffIt Expander:
6.5 or 9.0 only for Mac OS X:
7.0 and 7.0.1 will NOT work.
- Double click on the file you want to expand.
- It will automatically un-zip it into the same folder you are currently in.
Mac OS 9.0:
(StuffIt 6.5 will not expand .tar.gz files, you need 6.0 in Mac OS 9.0)
- Drag the icon of the downloaded ".tar.gz" file onto the application's icon to unstuff the file.
- or Launch StuffIt and select Expand from the File Menu. Locate the file on your computer that you want to expand and click "Open."
- If you know what you are doing, you can also change the File Exchange control panel so .gz and .tar files open with StuffIt.
This will allow you to double click the files to make them expand.
